Founded in 1995, we take our name, Ƶ, from our founders, twin sisters Caroline and Jacqui Fox, who are still major shareholders. Rooted in Southeast London, our outlook is both national and international, serving customers from numerous UK regions and more than 90 countries. With the UK as our main location, we have now established presence and activities in Ireland and Spain, with plans for more international presence.
Our clear and abiding sense of purpose - growing opportunity for all our stakeholders - allied to evolving core competences, has enabled the business to grow from two employees in a Lewisham bedroom to a business employing more than 300 people. We believe our core deliverables of education, training and employment opportunities serve societal needs that will only grow, for decades to come.
Perhaps the most gratifying aspect of Ƶ's growth - and the most reassuring for commissioners and partners in the UK - is that more than 90% of Ƶ's growth has been achieved organically.

Ƶ began offering special summer programmes for juniors and international students at St. Dunstan’s College. Ƶ Summer Centres now provides English courses, football and tennis coaching at some of the best centres in the UK and USA to juniors aged 12-18.
Ƶ won its first contract with the Department of Work and Pensions, the Basic Employability programme.Our first business acquisition in 1999 with LHS – also entered school group business by acquisition.
Ƶ achieved Investor in People accreditation and also acquired Eastbourne, Salisbury and Oxford English centres – Ƶ was now offering English language courses across four centres, plus six summer centres: St Dunstan’s, Colchester, Portsmouth, Saffron Walden, Guildford and Haywards Heath.
Ƶ celebrated its 10-year anniversary. Ƶ also bought Anglo Training, a company specialised in paid work experience placements in the hospitality industry to international students. This became WorkUK (now Ƶ Work Experience) a division of Ƶ Training International.
Ƶ won its first Leonardo da Vinci contract as a sending organisation, organising EU-funded internships in Europe. Ƶ also opened year-round centres delivering welfare-to-work training programmes in Kingston, Woolwich and Croydon. In the same year, Ƶ took part in a JMA pilot, working with more than 7000 students.
